Winter weather is usually mild in Dallas, Texas making it the ideal place to celebrate the holidays! The nights can get crisp during December however snow is typically unusual. This allows for easy flights in/out of Dallas (both at DFW International Airport and Dallas Love- Field Airport) as well as easier transport navigation in the city.
In most recent years, Dallas averages a temperature for December that's between 54 °F and 62 °F and a low that usually falls between 35 °F and 43 °F. This perfect weather allows for ample outdoor activities that would not be possible in more snow-ridden, colder climates.
Start off the holidays by capturing the perfect family holiday photo at the Dallas Arboretum during their annual Holiday at the Arboretum and see visit the 12 Days of Christmas exhibit from Nov. 14 until Dec. 30.
Attend the Dallas Holiday Parade, on Dec. 1, one of the biggest holiday events of the season. Beginning at 10 am the parade will make its way through Downtown Dallas with holiday-inspired floats and marching bands.
The world's tallest indoor Christmas tree is at the Galleria Dallas during the Illumination Celebration and is definitely worth a visit. From December 1st through Dec. 24 the tree will illuminate to choreographed tunes for daily shows. After that stick around to do some ice-skating or get ahead on some holiday shopping. Bringing the kids? Santa is waiting in his village from the beginning of December until Christmas Eve to take holiday requests from the good boys and girls.
Continue the holiday fun with the family by visiting Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas! The park is filled with enchanting experiences that will help create those special family fun memories. The breathtaking winter wonderland hosts a variety of delightful and interactive activities to help capture the holiday spirit beginning November 16 until Christmas.

Beginning on November 17th, twelve different breweries will join the Dallas Arboretum on 12 different weekends for Holiday at the Arboretum festivities.
